Only users with the <strong>Administrate users<\/strong> permission can grant or revoke permissions for other users. Only permissions that the user has can be granted to other users. It is not possible to revoke your own permissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-alfaview-callout\">\n<p>Please note that in order to grant or revoke the <strong>Manage company settings<\/strong> permission, you must have this permission yourself. The <strong>Administrate users<\/strong> permission alone is not sufficient.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hierarchical-structure-of-the-permissions\">Hierarchical structure of the permissions<a href=\"#hierarchical-structure-of-the-permissions\" class=\"av-heading-anchor\"><i class=\"bi bi-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Permissions are hierarchical and follow a tree structure. When a user is granted a parent privilege, the child privilege is automatically granted. This will provide your company with the best possible protection if the API key is stolen or compromised.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"permissions-and-their-definitions\">Permissions and their definitions<a href=\"#permissions-and-their-definitions\" class=\"av-heading-anchor\"><i class=\"bi bi-link\"><\/i><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table av-two-col-table is-style-stripes\"><table><thead><tr><th>Permission<\/th><th>Definition<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Manage <a href=\"https:\/\/support.alfaview.com\/en\/administration\/company\/account-management\/\">company<\/a> settings<\/td><td>Users with this permission can access the Company tab in the administration interface. The following settings can be managed:<br><br>&#8211; Company name<br>&#8211; Data protection information of the host<br>&#8211; Delete company permanently<br>&#8211; Insight into company quotas<br>&#8211; Insight into company usage<br>&#8211; API Keys<br>&#8211; Add-Ins<br>&#8211; Branding<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Show all usernames<\/td><td>This permission allows the names of all other users to be displayed in the participant and room lists in the alfaview app and web client.<br>Without this permission, the user can only see how many other users are currently online.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Administrate <a href=\"https:\/\/support.alfaview.com\/en\/administration\/user-management\/\">users<\/a><\/td><td>This permission allows the user to access the Users tab in the administration interface and to grant or revoke permissions. The following settings can be managed:<br><br>&#8211; Invite users<br>&#8211; Edit users (adjust permissions, reset password by e-mail)<br>&#8211; Delete users<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>List all users<\/td><td>Users with this permission can access the Users tab in the administration interface, which displays all current and pending users.<br>This permission makes it easier for room administrators to grant users access to a room.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Administrate <a href=\"https:\/\/support.alfaview.com\/en\/administration\/room-management\/\">rooms<\/a><\/td><td>This permission allows the user to access the Rooms tab in the administration interface.
